14. Fast-Start-Mode
14 Fast-Start-Mode
Note:
Integrated from SW-Rel. 7/320/00 /04.
The Fast Start mode works across all types of test, ie HV and IS. Types of
test such as HV and IS require only one START in this mode.
An activation of the Fast-Start mode is possible via the menu system (Setup
Chap. 10.6) or via the commands (remote control).
See also diagrams in Chap. 4.1 and 4.3.
14.1 PREREQUISITES FOR USE OF THE FAST-START MODE:
- Only one type of test - either HV or IS.
- Same test parameters of the test object (e.g. use in routine tests
in systems with short cycle times).
- Teaching the operating point (test parameters) in the first test.
- Default of the control window (settling parameter) for test voltage
(in the menu system or via the commands).
14.2 RESTRICTIONS ON FAST-START MODE:
- Can not run test plans.
- Maximum test duration 5.0 s
- The resultant storage is not active
- The test parameters overview in the display disappears
- Only one Start command is required for the test run.
- Time for the first test (Teaching) plus hook-on the safety
function is equal to a test without fast-start mode.
- Displays the total time for the Fast Start Mode test
(test time + settling time). However, the test time runs in the back-
ground.
14.3 GLOSSARY
The Fast-Start mode is a mode that enables a reduction in the cycle time
by more of the same (sequential) test circuit. The test item should always
be of the same type with almost the same physical properties.
The sequence of a test plan is in this mode not possible and therefore
blocked.
The Fast-Start Mode is implemented only in the types of test HV and IS.
14.4 STARTING POSITION:
For equipment of the Best Performance Series the total test time is rather
long. A high-voltage test with 1s test time can take up, depending on the
test item, to a total of 3 seconds to complete. This is due to various tasks
which must be executed during a test run.
For the great "Time overhead" are mainly responsible the parameter setting
of the test, the closing and opening of the two-mechanical overload relays
