7. Firmware loading
If you need to download a new firmware version onto your module, follow the
instructions below.
1. Install the EKE USBFloader software if not already installed.
2. Remove all other modules from the rack except the AIM and the PSV Power
Supply module.
Never install or remove modules to / from the rack with active power.
Always turn off the rack power first.

Connect a USB cable between your PC’s USB port and the EKE-Trainnet®
USB floader unit (UFI 1528).
4. Connect the EKE-Trainnet® FAC 1027 cable between the USBFloader unit
and the X4 Load and Debug connector (DLOAD) located on the circuit board
of the module. See figure 7.1 below for the location of X4.
5. Double-click the firmware file to be loaded (e.g.
AIM2505A_B015_P0000_001.ufo
).
The loading will start and a loading progress window will appear.
The program informs when the download has been executed successfully.
If the module does not reboot automatically after the download then reboot it
manually (e.g. by switching the rack power off and on again).

In case the module does not work correctly after the reboot, try loading the firmware
again. If that fails, try to load the previous firmware if available to verify that the
module has not sustained damage.
If the module works with the previous firmware, then there might be compatibility
problem with the new firmware. In this case the supplier of the new firmware should
be contacted.
