Remove the pinion (5),
see Fig. 8.3
, if
necessary use a screwdriver (6) for this
purpose.
Seal the resulting opening with the sealing plug
(7),
see Fig. 8.4
.
8.1.2
Cleaning process
Clean the EFA trimmer after every shift with a brush and warm
water (40 °C to 55 °C).
Attention!
Only clean the EFA trimmer when it has been
dismantled,
see section 8.1.1!
Only use cleaning agents that are compatible with
materials and food-grade!
Tenacious or crusted residues must be soaked in order to be able to
remove them.
Use cleaning agents (recommended: cleaning foam).
Contact time: 15 … 20 minutes.
Rinse the EFA trimmer with warm water.
Check whether all of the residues have been removed. If necessary, repeat the cleaning process.
Observe the manufacturer's instructions when handling the cleaning agent!
8.1.3
Reassembly
Cutting hazard!
Wear cut-resistant safety gloves!
Remove the sealing plug and ensure that no liquid has penetrated the opening.
The ingress of liquid may damage the bearing and coupling.
In this case, return the device for inspection.
Apply a thin layer of EFA special grease to all sliding surfaces and indentations of the
blade, pinion, blade fixture, and plain bearings.
Install the pinion and screw on the cover.
Screw on the blade fixture together with the blade.
Attention!
Before using cleaning agents, the material compatibility must be tested at a suitable point.
