Troubleshooting

Uninstalling the serial MIDI driver

Windows XP and 2000 users

Log on to Windows as a user with

administrative privileges

(e.g., Administrator).

Open the

System Properties

dialog box.

Right-click the

My Computer

icon, and in the menu that appears, select

Properties

. In

Windows XP,

My Computer

is located in the

Start

menu.

Click the

Hardware

tab.

In the

Device Manager

area, click

[Device

Manager]

Double-click "

Sound, video and game

controllers

." A list of device will appear.

Right click "Roland Serial MIDI Driver," and choose
Uninstall from the menu that appears.

A dialog box will ask you to confirm device removal.
Click

[OK]

Close the Device Manager, and click

[OK]

in the

System Properties dialog box.

Restart Windows.

When Windows restarts, the serial MIDI driver will be deleted.
