6. Double press the Set key to complete the first spline.
7. Repeat step 3~6 to complete the second spline and allow you to begin another
measurement.
7.3.1.2. Strip Doppler Generic Measurements
The system supports the following types of generic strip Doppler measurements:

Caliper

Trace

Auto Trace

HR (Heart Rate)

RI (Resistive Index)
Caliper : The Caliper measurement can provide a wide range of results.
To use the Caliper measurement:
1. Invoke the Measure Function on a Doppler strip.
2. If Caliper is not the default measurement, select Caliper from the touchscreen.
3. Move the caliper to the desired location. At this point the measurement can display the
following results (the actual results shown will depend on the preset):


4. If you want a caliper pair, press the Set key to place the caliper and add the second half of
the caliper pair. At this point the measurement may display the following results (the
actual results shown will depend on the preset):


PHT
Presses of the Switch key toggle which side of the caliper can be moved. Pressing the Set key
completes the caliper and allows you to create another tool.
The S/D, PI, and PHT results assume that the first caliper is placed on the peak systolic point.
Trace : The Trace measurement can provide a wide range of results. Trace can be measured by
two tools: Draw and Spline.
To use the Trace measurement with a draw method:
1. Invoke the Measure Function on a Doppler strip.
2. If Trace is not the default measurement, select Trace from the touchscreen.
