2.6.3. Mode of DER from radiocesium measurement

The mode of DER measurement from radiocesium is designed to detect

cesium emissions in the environment and to assess the values of the man-made
radiocesium radiation component in the natural background.

The mode of DER measurement from radiocesium can be accessed by

tapping the “TEST” button in the gamma dose rate measurement mode (see
Fig. 2.4). This opens a window shown in Figure 2.46.

Choose “Cs” tab and then “DER from Cs” icon.
Before you start testing, carefully read the rules of measurement. Please take

a note of how to choose the measurement option, how to position the detector, etc.
