•  Plug-in accessories (e.g. Headsets) and other modules

are not permitted to be used with the unit within the Ex-

hazardous area.

5. General Safety Instructions

•  The use of the mobile phone without a "hands-free”

installation whilst driving a motor vehicle is forbidden!

• The mobile phone is to be switched-off when in the vici-

nity of medical equipment!

• The use of the Ex-Handy 04 is forbidden if it could result

in danger or interference of any sort!

•  The mobile phone is not to be switched on when the use

of mobile telephones is specifically forbidden.

•  Mobile phones can cause interference with vital equip-

ment in aeroplanes and must therefore be switched off

when onboard an aeroplane.

•  The mobile phone should be held like a conventional

telephone receiver. Unnecessary contact with the integral

aerial is to be avoided.

•  When the unit is switched on, a minimum distance of 20

cm between the unit and aPacemaker is strongly recom-

mended!

•  The mobile phone is not waterproof and should be kept

in a dry place.

•  A "Back-Up” of any important data stored in the mobile

telephone should be made at regular intervals.

• Before connecting the mobile phone to any other piece

of equipment, the operating instructions and safety regu-

lations of both equipment should be carefully studied

and complied with.
