10.4.8 Keypad lock
This can be used to prevent unintentional pres-
sing of the keys.
• S
ETTING THE KEYPAD
lock In the standby display, press the selec-
tion key marked with "Menu" and within 1.5
seconds the ” * ” key in order to lock the
keypad. When the keypad is locked a key
symbol appears in the display.
• U
NLOCKING THE KEYPAD
Press the selection key marked "unlock" and
within 1.5 seconds the ” * ” key in order to
unlock the keypad.
• W
HEN THE KEYPAD IS LOCKED
,
you can accept calls by pressing the green
"call” key. When you end the call or reject it,
the keypad will be locked automatically
again.

on/off key for a short time causes the display
backlighting to be switched on for about 15
seconds.
10.4.2 Volume keys (2)
The upper key increases the volume in the ear-
piece (or earphone) while the lower key has the
reverse effect.
10.4.3 Select keys (3)
The function of the keys depends on the text
which can be seen above them in the display,
e.g. menu and names in the standby display.
10.4.4 Scroll keys (4)
You can use these keys to go through the
names, telephone numbers, menus and settings.
10.4.5 CALL (5)
This key with green lettering is used to dial the
telephone number you have entered or answer
an incoming call. Pressing the key once displays
the number which was last dialled. Pressing the
key more than once starts the recall function.
10.4.6 END (6)
This key with red lettering terminates an active
call. In addition, each function will be closed with
this key. Pressing the key more than once always
returns you to the standby display.
10.4.7 Keypad (7)
These keys are used to enter numbers and cha-
racters.
