12 Decommissioning and Disposal
12.1 Decommissioning / Dismantling
The dismantling of the equipment may only be performed by authorised and trained personnel.
12.2 Disposal
DANGER
Warning of dangerous electrical voltage! Danger to life - danger of electric shock!
During dismantling, the same safety instructions and hazard warnings must be observed as for
installation, putting into service and maintenance, see chapter Safety instructions.

ATTENTION
Potential negative impact on people and the environment due to non-
environmentally friendly disposal!
The symbol for the separate collection of electrical and electronic equipment represents
a crossed-out wheeled bin and indicates that an electrical or electronic equipment
marked with this symbol may not be disposed of with household waste at the end of its
life, but must be taken for separate collection by the end user.
In accordance with the contractual agreement, the customer has a duty to dispose of
electrical and electronic waste in compliance with the statutory regulations based on
the „Directive 2012/19/EU of the European Parliament on waste electrical and
electronic equipment“.
This device contains a lithium battery (for details see chapter Electrical data), which
may have to be disposed of separately!
Devices with battery holder:
The battery can be removed from the device
by the end user and
must
be disposed of separately, for details see chapter
Battery replacement.
Devices without battery holder:
The battery contained in the device
cannot
be removed by the end user, as it is permanently installed in the device and
there is no provision for battery replacement.
Ensure the environmentally friendly disposal of the packaging, the product and its
components at the end of their service life. Observe the applicable national
regulations and laws.
Users have the option of returning a B2B device placed on the market by us to us at the
end of its service life. Please contact your customer service representative at
Eckelmann AG to arrange for the device to be taken back and disposed of properly.
Please inform yourself about the local regulations for the separate disposal of electrical
and electronic products and batteries. Further information on the Electrical and
Electronic Equipment Act can be found at
