Handling
–
adequate measures must be taken with regard to handling this stove (see 23
Technical for weight) with especial regard to loading; unloading and site handling.
Fire cement
–
certain products and fire cements are caustic when in contact with skin. Always
use protective gloves when handling and wash skin immediately if contact with the skin is made.
Asbestos
–
This stove contains no asbestos. If there is a possibility of disturbing asbestos in the
course of installing this stove, seek specialist advice immediately and use appropriate protective
equipment.
Metal and Silicon Carbide Parts
–
When installing or servicing this stove care should be taken to
avoid the risk of personal injury.
A fireguard to BS8423:2002 should be used around the stove in the presence of children; the
aged or the infirm.
CO alarms
–
This stove should only be installed with a co detector fitted within the same room
as this appliance. If the alarm sounds follow the instructions given under warning on the first
page of this manual.

Replacement parts must only be of the manufacturers supply and design.

2 x side sections (silicon carbide) 2 x vermiculite dividers Model 850 only
1 x back section (silicon carbide) 2 x vermiculite back baffles with predrilled holes; 1 x
vermiculite spacer blocks.

In the event of a chimney fire the fire box door and ash pit must be tightly closed and the local
fire brigade alerted immediately.
e)
The Eco Stove when used as a slow heat release appliance may be left for a 10 hour period after
its final firing to release heat slowly on a falling heat. Should it be required this method of
heating be continued a fresh fuelling may be undertaken and initial firing procedures followed
