Communication
8.1.3.1.
Channels used to connect to monitoring station server
By the term channel we mean the data transmission channel to the monitoring
station. This can be Ethernet, GPRS or SMS. The transmitter while connecting to the
monitoring station is trying to select main channel first, then a backup one, and
emergency channel at last. If there is an address and port of backup server provided,
then we try to take advantage of this connection before switching to another
transmission channel. When in the result of the disconnection in the main channel, a
channel with lower priority is used, then the availability of primary channel is being
checked periodically. If the connection to main channel returns, the transmitter will
switch over to it and will try to stay on it. . After expanding the list, the following
items are available for selection:
ETH -> GPRS -> SMS (Ethernet - main, GRPS - backup, SMS - emergency)
ETH -> GPRS (Ethernet - main, GRPS - backup)
ETH
Serverless mode
Advanced setting
Selecting the "advanced setting" item will unlock the fields for each channel and
individually prioritize the transmission.
You can set channel role as “unused” – so the communication in this way will not be
possible.
