Reassembly of the Mainshaft Assembly

If previously removed, install the snap ring in the groove
in ID of all mainshaft gears except the reverse gear and
mount the mainshaft in a vise with the pilot (front) end
down, making sure that the roll pin is in place in the
keyway.

Install the 4th speed gear washer, flat side up, and lock
in place with the key.

Install the spacer on the washer, stepped side up.

Install the 4th speed gear on the shaft with the clutching

teeth down. Turn the gear until it engages the splines of

the spacer.
