5.1.4 Importing the SmartWire-DT modules' I/O data
The next step after entering the information for the EU5C-SWD-EIP-
MODTCP gateway into the PLC programming environment is to transfer the
SmartWire-DT modules' existing I/O data so that it can be used in the pro-
gramming environment. To do so, the CSV file previously exported in SWD-
Assist needs to be imported into the RSLogix 5000 programming system.

Open the "Extras" menu item and select the "Import" option.

Now select "Tags and logic comments."
▶
In the dialog box that appears, select the CSV file that you previously cre-
ated with the SWD-Assist planning software and confirm your selection
by clicking on "Import".

PLC programming environment
Once you are done with these steps, the programming system will have the
I/O data and you will be able to use this data for your user program as usual.

You can change the device names for the gateway and the
SmartWire-DT modules in SWD-Assist at any time. The corre-
sponding I/O addresses (tags) and symbolic names will be
updated immediately. You can also change these names in the
PLC programming environment.
