Pow-R-Command 100 In Integrated
Facility Systems Switchboards
An Integrated Facility Systems (IFS)
Switchboard is an innovative design created
by Eaton’s Cutler-Hammer designed to save
space, reduce construction cycle time, and
reduce labor and material requirements.
IFS Switchboards take loose panelboards,
switches, distribution transformers, and other
miscellaneous equipment and assemble them
into UL 891 listed freestanding switchboard
structure. Pow-R-Command 100 panels fall
into the category of the typical types of
devices incorporated into IFS, Eaton’s Cutler-
Hammer has multiple options for integrating
Pow-R-Command into IFS.
IFS Switchboards are divided into structures.
Each structure may further be divided into two
sections. Depending on the size of the
device intended for installation into IFS, it will
either occupy an entire structure or one
section.
Pow-R-Command 100 Panelboards In IFS
Structures
Depending on the amperage of the main
device of a panel, and the optional devices
incorporated into the Pow-R-Command 100
panelboard, it will fit in either a full structure or
an individual section of a structure.

Pow-R-Command 100 Panelboards In An
IFS Section: In order for a Pow-R-
Command 100 Panelboard to be mounted
in a single section it must have a main
device amperage rating of 250A or less for
main lugs, or 100A or less for main
breaker. A Pow-R-Command 100
Panelboard intended to mount in a cell of
an IFS structure
cannot
contain an
expansion chassis, TVSS, through-feed
lugs, nor sub-feed breaker.

Pow-R-Command 100 Panelboards In An
Entire IFS Structure: When a Pow-R-
Command 100 panelboard is mounted in
an entire IFS structure, all optional
standard panelboard and Pow-R-
Command 100 Panelboard components
are available for use. Also, the Pow-R-
Command 100 Panelboard may contain
up to a 400A main device (lugs or
breaker), sub-feed or through-feed devices
up to 225A.

Mounting Other Pow-R-Command 100
Components In An IFS Switchboard
As a result of the engineering capabilities of
Eaton’s Cutler-Hammer, more then just Pow-
R-Command 100 Panelboards may be
mounted into an IFS Switchboard. Though
Pow-R-Command 100 Panelboards are the
most frequently mounted product, all Pow-R-
Command 100 components are qualified for
mounting into IFS Switchboards. This
includes all structures listed in this document
(with the exception of Pow-R-Command 100
Column Type Panelboards), and all other
control and network devices discussed in
other Pow-R-Command 100 Technical
Documents. For more information on
