11.1.1 Managing Methods
You can edit the predefined methods as well as newly created ones to meet
your requirements.
- Method names can be up to 11 characters long.
- You may use the letters "A" to "Z", digits "0" to "9", points ".",
underlines "_" and blanks " " for the composition of a method name.
Defining your own methods
You can create new methods in addition to the preset ones:
1. Tap <Menu> and select Methods > New Method .
2. Edit the method settings as described below.
3. Tap <Back> repeatedly to return to the main screen.
Editing methods
1. Tap <Menu> and select Methods > Edit Method .
2. Select a method that you want to edit and tap <Edit>.
3. Select a method setting that you want to edit and tap <Edit>.
4. Enter a value or select it from a list as appropriate.
5. Repeat steps 3–4 for all method settings that you want to edit.
6. Tap <Back> repeatedly to return to the main screen.
Importing methods
1.
Save the file on a PC (e.g. on the desktop), see appendix D for an
example file.

On the PC, right-click the file and select "Send it to Bluetooth".

tap <Menu> and select Setup > Data Transfer >
File Transfer > Import Methods .

Tap <Start> to start the automatic import procedure.
