5.3 Installing the wiring

Ensure that both the 12 volt [V] and
the 230 volt [V] power supplies are
disconnected. The 5-pin plug can be
applied to the E-Connect in one way only.
Attach the connector by first inserting it into
the E-Connect (I) and then tightening it (II).

Connect the other end of the red wire (positive) to your power supply of 12 volts
[VDC] as desired. The black wire (negative) should be connected to the negative
terminal on your power source.

Protect the red wire (positive) with a 4 amp [A] fuse (not supplied).
The red wire (positive) leads from the fuse to the positive terminal
on your power source.

Should the wiring supplied be too short, it can be extended. Use
comparable wiring with sufficient diameter.
In the event of a battery being used as the power supply for the E-Connect:

Add a switch (not supplied) to the red wire (positive) to prevent the
battery gradually running down.
PLEASE NOTE
Do not use disproportional force or tools when tightening
the connector. This can damage the product and can also be
dangerous. Use only the original power supply delivered with
the product.

PLEASE NOTE
This product uses current even when the smartphone
application is switched off. Switch off the device from the
power source when it is not in use to prevent the battery
running down.
