2.4.2

Enhanced Portable Display

Enhanced display mode on the portable indicates that an additional row of text is added to
the standard display. This secondary row of text is used to display the zone and/or event
message.

Portable Icons

The layout of the front panel display is shown below. Icons are typically shown in the
upper part of the display and text messages in the lower part.

LED displays may be disabled by programming. If so programmed, the radio’s LED will
not light for transmit/receive/error code conditions. During transmit, the Transmit icon
will be displayed to provide some indication to the user that the radio is transmitting.
Because error code conditions will not be displayed if this option is enabled, EFJohnson
recommends that this option not be used for Model I radios.
