Filter Replacement PAD System:
Replacement Particle Filter / ecoPAD P3
Unscrew the filter cover from the PAD Box/Gas filter adapter. Remove the used ecoPAD P3 and dispose it properly.
See Figure 8.
Insert a new ecoPAD P3 as described in section 4.2.2.
Screw the filter cover firmly back onto the PAD Box/the gas filter adapter.
Replacement Gas Filter / ecoPAD GF:
Unscrew just the gas filter adapter from the PAD Box.
Remove the ecoPAD GF gas filter cartridge and dispose it properly.
Insert a new ecoPAD GF as described in section 4.2.2.
Screw the gas filter adapter firmly back onto the PAD Box.
Replacement Combination Filter:
If only the gas filter fraction or the particle filter fraction is saturated, replace only the saturated one. The other filter
can be used until it is exhausted. If both parts are used/saturated, replace the particulate filter and the gas filter frac-
tion. Replace the parts as described above.
Filter Replacement Round Thread Filter System:
You can either replace the entire filter by unscrewing the filter or, as described above, you can only replace the satura-
ted particle filter fraction or gas filter fraction and continue to use the other filter component.
If you want to replace the entire filter, hold the filter sideways so that you have the filter holder and filter cover in your
hand. Turn the filter counterclockwise.
If you only want to replace the saturated fraction of the filter, follow the steps described above in the section „
Filter
Replacement PAD System
“ and place the filter in the round thread filter holder instead of the PAD Box.
4.2.3 Filter Replacement
Important: The e-Flow PAPR has a display that indicates the remaining capacity of the particle filter or, for combi-
nation filters, the remaining capacity of the particle filter fraction. If the particle filter/particle fraction is exhaus-
ted, the unit will give a filter alarm. In this case the particle filter should be replaced.
Information: The remaining capacity of a gas filter or, in the case of a combination filter, the gas filter fraction
cannot be measured. Gas filters still have to be changed when smell or taste are noticeable.
Important: If the system is used with an e-breathe combination filter, a modular exchange is possible if one filter
is saturated. If necessary, it‘s possible to replace the particle or gas filter separately. As a result, only the saturated
filter has to be replaced and the other filter can be used further until saturated.
