Installing your car stereo

Pontiac

Grand Am 1996-1998

To install your car stereo:

1

Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit.

2

Remove the two Phillips screws above the instrument cluster.

3

Unclip the dash trim bezel, then remove it.

4

Remove the three 7 mm hex-head screws that secure the factory head unit, then 
disconnect the wiring.

5

Locate bracket set 9.

6

Go to “Completing the installation” on page 76.
