Installing your car stereo

Buick

Riviera 1983-1985

To install your car stereo:

1

Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit.

2

Carefully pull to remove the dash trim bezel.

3

Remove the four screws that secure the factory head unit, then disconnect the wiring.

4

Remove the hardware that secures the factory mounting brackets to the factory head 
unit. Remove and retain the brackets.

5

Go to “Completing the installation” on page 76.
