CHECKLISTS : WARNINGS
Never fly directly after a mechanical intervention. Check free movement of controls before
start-up, check that all tools used during the maintenance have been removed. Start up in the
usual way and remain on the ground for some time before taking off and transitioning with
caution.
The principle of takeoff is the same as for an aeroplane. Think about the ambient conditions :
the fuel level and load as well as the aerological conditions, wind speed and direction. Check
the terrain and possible obstacles. Decide in advance on the best takeoff route. Start out
from the end of the field if necessary to provide room for acceleration. Intelligence and
concentration !
The engine may be started before settling in on board as it is a good idea to run the checklist
while it is warming up and to observe while it is idling.
(No passenger alone on board while engine running !)
