Replacing the high and low beam bulbs
Before replacing a burnt-out bulb, make sure that the new
one complies with voltage and wattage as specified in the
section covering the Electric System for that lighting device
(page 102). Always test the new lamp before refitting the
parts you have removed.
Shown in fig. 70 are the locations of the low beam bulb (LO),
high beam bulb (HI) and parking light bulb
(1).
Headlight
To gain access to the right bulb, turn the ring nut (2) of the
upper lamp holder counter clockwise and extract the burnt-
out bulb. Fit a new bulb with equal rating.
On refitting, turn the ring nut (2) clockwise to lock the bulb in
place.
To gain access to the left bulb and replace it, follow the same
procedure as for the right bulb.
