Main maintenance operations
Removing the fairing
Some servicing operations need the motorcycle fairing to be
removed.
Warning
Failure to refit or correctly install any one of the parts
you have removed may result in one or more components
coming off unexpectedly while riding, leading to loss of
control.
Important
At reassembly always fit nylon washers when
tightening fastening screws to avoid damage to painted parts
and Plexiglas windscreen of headlight fairing.
Fairings
To remove the fairings, use the Allen wrench accommodated
under the seat to loosen the following screws by ¼ of a turn:
the four screws (1) that retain the fairings to the frame;
the four screws (2) that retain the fairings to the headlight
fairing;
the four screws (3) that retain the fairings to the belly pan.
Pull the fairings towards the front end of the motorcycle.
Loosen the two screws (4) on the fairing brackets by ¼ of a
turn.
Note
To refit the belly pan, lower the side stand and pass it
through the opening in the belly pan.
