4-1-9 Overload rate setting
The inverter and monitor can be protected
from overload. When the output current of
the inverter exceeds the reference current
determined by the overload rate and the
rated motor current, the overload protec-
tion is performed under the time character-
istics as shown in Figure 7 to stop the
inverter (the 86A relay is turned on).

OL.Set
(overload rate setting)
Reference current = Rated motor current (A) x Overload rate setting (%)
100
When the operation is performed under the overload condition, the overload counter to count the time required
for overload protection to be performed increases the values and reaches 100% and at this point the overload
protection starts. (When the overload condition is removed, the overload counter decreases the value.)
The overload pre-alarm function can also be used to turn on the multifunction output terminal when the over-
load counter exceeds a specified value. That is, the overload protection can be prevented by detecting the pre-
alarm output to reduce the torque. (See 4-2-21)
4-1-10 V/F pattern selection
1) No. 13
V/F.Pattern
(V/F pattern selection)
The V/F pattern characteristics can be
selected according to the load characteris-
tics.
(1) V/F constant characteristics (Linear)
For constant torque load.
(2) V/F square law reduction characteris-
tics (Sqr.law) For fan pump load.
(3) V/F bend characteristics (Bend) For
2-stage torque setting (See 4-2-4)
Note: When code No. 22 is set to Auto (auto boost), the V/F bend characteristics cannot be specified. (When
the V/F bend characteristics are specified, Auto is invalidated and Manual (manual boost) is validated).
4-1-8 Minimum frequency
The minimum frquency can be set. The minimum value of the reference frequency is its lower limit.
