4 Use
4.1 Instructions on using the test device
To ensure safe and accident-free work with the test device,
observe the following points when working with the test device:

You must ensure that the test device is protected against
the ingress of water or moisture. Ensure that no moisture
from splash water or leaking water can ingress into the test
device.

The test device may be supplied with power as follows:

Power supply by UPS batter

Power supply by power supply unit

Power supply via a USB cable connected to a PC

Power supply via a vehicle charging device
The test device may only be connected to the power supply
with the enclosed accessories.

The housing may only be opened by trained Dräger
personnel.
4.2 Operating the test device

To switch on the test device, hold the button down for
2 seconds.

To access the menu in the test device, push the button.

To select a menu item or set a value, push the button
or the button.

To confirm a selected menu item, briefly tap the button.

To measure the flow, set the selector switch to l/min . The
display shows the flow.

To generate negative pressure, set the selector switch to
and pump until the desired negative pressure is
reached.

To generate positive pressure, set the selector switch to
and pump until the desired positive pressure is
reached.

To perform a leak test, set the selector switch to .
Start the test by pushing the button.

To quickly vent the system, set the selector switch to
.

To control the venting of the system, hold down the vent
button
until the pressure is reduced to the desired
value.
The vent button has two stages:

first stage: very slow venting

second stage: slow venting.

To switch the device off, hold the button down for
3 seconds.
4.3 Display information
The following information is shown on the display:

Battery charging
"PC-MODE" The test device is communicating
with the PC, the battery is charged
automatically.
"Charging" The test device is switched off. The
current charge is displayed as a
percentage.
The test device can be switched on
and used. The battery continues to
be charged.
"Sensor out of range" The measuring range limit of
30 mbar is achieved.
