locKout-tag out procedure

Let others in the area know you are locking the

1.

machine out .

turn the run switch on the control panel to the off

2.

position . (status indicator should read “off”) .

unplug the 120 volt power cord from its receptacle

3.

and attach a proper lockout device .

turn the air supply valve to the off position and

4.

attach a proper lockout device .

After attaching the lockout devices, put the keys in

5.

your pocket

After locking out the electrical and air supplies, try to

6.

start the pump to verify that it is properly disabled .

If the pump starts or still has power applied, stop
and get your supervisors help!.

release any stored air in the pump by turning the

7.

regulator adjusting knobs fully counterclockwise .
the pressure gauges should read 0 PsI .

You may now safely perform the necessary work .
