Preparations for fixing
●
Prepare door leaf and frame as per dimensional drawing.
(Upon request, DORMA will be pleased to provide
installation suggestions for the DORMA ITS 96 GSR in
relation to the most common door types.)
●
For the electro-mechanical hold open, install power
supply cable from smoke detector.

The slide channels of this product are non-handed.
The following describes the fixing process for an inactive
LH (ISO 6) door leaf. The procedure for an inactive RH leaf
should be adapted accordingly.
Fixing instructions for doors where the cut-out for the
connecting rod is routed from below.
Fixing instructions for a tubular frame door or for
doors where the cut-out for the connecting rod is
routed from above.
Clip on end cap.
Push the knurled screw of the hold open mechanism
in the direction of the door hinge, and disconnect the
slide shoe from the hold open mechanism.
Move the slide shoe in order to gain access to the
centre fixing hole.
Place inactive leaf slide channel in the recess and fix.
In order to determine the precise position of the
active leaf slide channel, hold the end cap at the cut-
out and mark the end of the slide channel.
Place the slide channel in the recess.
Push the knurled screw of the hold open mechanism
towards the door hinge and disconnect the slide shoe
from the hold open mechanism.
Move the slide shoe in order to gain access to the
fixing holes.
Fix active leaf slide channel. Move slide shoe back
into position.
Measure dimension X.
Shorten connecting rod to dimension X less 95 mm.
Secure interconnecting cable with adhesive tape
onto the connecting rod.
Insert the connecting rod in the adjustment sleeve of
the active leaf slide channel and then place in the
plastic guide element of the inactive leaf slide
channel, making sure that the slide shoe is not
pushed up against the rocker.
Unwind the adjustment sleeve of the active leaf slide
channel just far enough to hold the connecting rod.
Move the slide shoe in order to gain access to the
centre fixing hole.
Secure the active leaf slide channel using one screw
only.
Measure dimension X.
Shorten connecting rod to dimension X less 95 mm.
Undo screw, move slide shoe back and remove active
leaf slide channel again.
Secure interconnecting cable with adhesive tape to
the connecting rod. In order to be able to insert the
connecting rod in position, push the cable end into
the tube. After insertion of the rod, pull the cable end
out again.
Place the connecting rod in the plastic guide element
of the inactive leaf slide channel, ensuring that the
slide shoe is not pushed up against the rocker.
Place the active leaf slide channel with the
adjustment sleeve over the connecting rod, and
place the slide channel in the recess.
Push the knurled screw of the hold open mechanism
towards the door hinge and disconnect the slide shoe
from the hold open mechanism.
Move the slide shoe in order to gain access to the
fixing holes.
Fix active leaf slide channel.
Unwind adjustment sleeve of the active leaf slide
channel just far enough to hold the connecting rod.
Connect the cable at the inactive leaf.
Connect the cable at the inactive leaf.
Clip on end cap.
Connect the cable at the active leaf.
Connect to power supply (24 V DC).
Clip on end cap.
Before any further installation work, ensure that the
cables and terminals are properly inserted in the
cavity beyond the cut-out edges in order to ensure
that they are not damaged when the door is closed.
