OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Inserting the grass box
Only with the engine switched off and the cutting gear at a
standstill.
Lift the flap and insert the grass box.
Lock the grass box by pushing the flap down.
Removing the grass box
Only with the engine switched off and the cutting gear at a
standstill.
Lift the flap (unlock) and remove the grass box by pulling it
backwards.
Empty the grass box.
Adjusting the cutting height
Only with the engine switched off and the cutting gear at a
standstill.
The central cutting height adjustment can set the lawnmo-
wer to 5 cutting heights (3-8 cm).
The cutting height (in cm) can be seen directly on the con-
trol bar.
Adjustable cutting heights: 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 cm.
In order to adjust the cutting height, press the adjustment
handle. Slightly lift or press the lawnmower and read off the
cutting height on the scale. When the required height has
been reached, let go of the handle. The handle engages in
the set position. The cutting height dimensions stated refer
to a hard and level base - not to the lawn.
Operating for the first time
Don’t put the mower into operation before you have completely finis-
hed assembling it. You must add petrol and oil before the first ope-
ration. The first operation may only be carried out by persons who
have read and understood these instruction manual.
Overview of fuels
When operating the lawnmower, only use the following fuels:
Petrol - lead-free standard petrol, ROZ 91
Kind of engine oil - SAE 10W-30 or 10W-40.
Operating the engine for the first time
Only operate the engine for the first time when you have convinced
yourself that the engine has been sufficiently filled with fuels (petrol and
engine oil).
At all costs, comply with the enclosed user’s manual from the manufac-
turer of the petrol engine.
Adding petrol
Danger of explosion! Only add petrol in the open! Never add petrol
as long as the engine is still running or is very hot. Do not smoke!
Unscrew the tank lid. Add the petrol with a funnel - make sure it does
not overflow. Put the tank lid back on and screw tight.
Adding engine oil
Unscrew the oil filler cap. Slowly add engine oil through a funnel - capa-
city: 0.6 l.
Check the correct filling height of the oil with the dipstick.
Put the dipstick back in and screw tight.
Starting the engine
The exhaust fumes contain carbon monoxide, a non-
odorous and lethal gas!
For this reason, never start the engine in enclosed or badly
ventilated rooms.
Please ensure that the lawnmower is not standing in long grass
when you start it.
Model PM-5360 S3CP:
Push the gas lever to the position with the engine cold .
Pull out the starter cord until a compression resistance can
be felt. Allow the starter cord to return slowly and then pull it
out again quickly. Allow the starter rope to return slowly
when the engine is running.
Let the engine warm up somewhat, then put the gas lever into a posi-
tion between and .
When the engine has reached operating temperature ,
push the gas lever to position and start the engine as
described above.
For mowing , you must push the gas lever to position , in
which position the engine has its greatest torque, which is
necessary for proper cutting.
