AS/400 User Guide

•

Hold any job queues that have jobs waiting to run on the Work with Job

queues display.

NOTE: You must release these job queues when the system is restarted.

•

Press F12 (Cancel) to return to Work with Jobs display.

•

Press F5 (Refresh) every few minutes to view the active jobs until all active

jobs have completed processing.

Make sure there are no tapes in any of the tape drives and no disks in any of the disk

drives.

Powering off the system

Power off the system immediately

Type "Go Power" in command line and press the ENTER key.

Select option 3 (Power off the system immediately) if you want to keep the power off

until the next time the system is scheduled to power on or it is done manually.

Use the Confirm Power Off of System display to either confirm or cancel of the power

off option. When you press F16 (Confirm), an immediate power down occurs that

causes the subsystems to end all active jobs.

Power off the system and restart immediately

Type "Go Power" in command line and press the ENTER key.

Select option 4 (Power off the system immediately and then power on) if you want to

power off the system and then immediately restart the system.

Use the Confirm Power Off of System display to either confirm or cancel of the power

off option. When you press F16 (Confirm), the system stops running and then starts

again automatically.
