Cleaning short pile carpets
1.
Ensure that the appliance is switched off
(On/Off switch in the "0" position).
2.
Pull off the two round brooms (Fig. 22).
3.
Now the appliance is ready to vacuum
short pile carpets. Proceed as described
under
Z
Chapter 7.1, ‘Cleaning hard
floors’
.

Switching off
Proceed as follows to switch off the appliance:
1.
Switch off the appliance with the On/Off
switch (Fig. 23) (position "0").
- The LEDs will go out.
2.
If you want to stop working with the appli-
ance, empty the dust container,

ATTENTION:
Before you can use the appliance to vacuum short pile carpets you must prepare it as described
below. Otherwise the appliance would not be able to move forward on carpet. In addition, do not
use the appliance on long pile carpet. In either case the motors of the appliance could be dam-
aged due to overload.

NOTE:
If you lift the appliance while it is in opera-
tion, the motors switch off automatically
after approximately 8 seconds without floor
contact. However, the appliance is not
switched off (one of the two outer LEDs is
still lit); it continues to run as soon as it is
placed on a surface.
