Local geofence are not shown on the map.
Note that once a local geofence has been triggered and an SMS sent the geofence will be
deactivated. To reactivate the geofence you must set it again.
To deactivate a geofence uncheck the
Active
check box in the
VTU settings
dialog and click the
Send settings
button.
You can also unlock the local geofence by calling the unit from the designated mobile phone.
This time no rings should be heard.
NOTE: Activating/Deactivating the local geofence from a mobile phone does not incur any call
costs.
Example use:
A driver parks the car and alarms it with his mobile phone. If the vehicle moves without being
unalarmed an SMS message will be sent to the drivers mobile. Once a message has been sent
the local geofence will automatically deactivate.
