Maintenance warnings
WARNING!
Perform maintenance operations when the machine is switched off and in a safe condition.
WARNING!
Maintenance operations must be performed by qualified and authorised personnel.
Machine maintenance includes the operations (inspection, verification, control, adjustment and replacement) that
become necessary following normal use.
•
During maintenance operations do not release work residues into the environment.
• Only perform the maintenance operations described herein, any unspecified procedures can pose a serious risk
to untrained operators and in any case alter the machine’s degree of safety.
• Always and only use original spare parts.
• During operation or maintenance, plates and stickers must NOT be removed, hidden, or made illegible.
• The maintenance technicians must wear all the personal protective equipment required for the operation to be
carried out.

Repair or maintenance operations not contained in this manual may only be carried out with the prior
authorisation of ss
No responsibility for damage to persons or property may be attributed to ss for operations
other than those described or carried out in ways other than those indicated.
Machine maintenance operations are divided, from the operational point of view, into two main categories:
Scheduled Maintenance
All those operations that the operator must perform, in a preventive manner, to ensure
good operation of the machine over time; scheduled maintenance includes inspection,
control, adjustment, cleaning and lubrication.
Unscheduled Maintenance
All those operations that the operator must perform when the machine requires it.
Unscheduled maintenance includes the overhaul, repair, restoration of nominal operating
conditions or the replacement of a faulty, defective or worn out unit.
