14. Using Picture Porter 35 with Your Computer
When connected to your computer, Picture Porter 35 becomes an
external hard drive and a multi-format memory card reader/writer
to your computer.
14.1. Connecting Picture Porter 35 to Your Computer
1. Turn on Picture Porter 35.
2. Connect Picture Porter 35 to the USB port on your computer
using the provided or a compatible USB cable.
Note:
It is recommended that you use the AC power adapter
when Picture Porter 35 is connected to your computer. This will
ensure a stable power supply to Picture Porter 35 and prevent
data corruption resulting from insufficient or unstable power
supplied by the computer USB port to Picture Porter 35.
3. Picture Porter 35 will display a computer connection icon on its
screen to indicate that it is connected to your computer. While it
is connected to the computer, the Picture Porter 35 will display
the USB connect screen and will not be accessible.
For Windows users, once connected, your computer will
automatically recognize Picture Porter 35 to show three devices:
•
Picture Porter 35 hard drive (with device label ‘HD1’)
•
Two removable devices (corresponding memory card slots)
For Mac users, once connected, your computer will display a
‘HD1’ icon on the Desktop for the Picture Porter 35 hard drive.
Icons for memory cards will only appear if a memory card is
inserted.
These devices will function like any other storage device on your
computer. You can now access files on Picture Porter 35 and
connected the memory cards to transfer files between the various
memory locations.
Note
:
1) The Picture Porter 35 hard drive and memory card icon
labels may vary by device and can be renamed.
2) The device drive letters may vary based on your specific
computer configuration.
