LEDs
The LEDs are used to indicate the status of the adapter and its
connector. These LEDs are visible on the adapter’s front panel (at the
back of your system). During diagnostics, the Fast EtherWORKS PCI
10/100 adapter’s Activity LED blinks once, then remains on. Once the
network software and device driver(s) are loaded, the LEDs reflect
status.
Table B–1 describes the Fast EtherWORKS PCI 10/100 adapter
LEDs.
Table B–1 LED States
LED Color Description
100 Mb/s status Amber This LED lights when 100 Mb/s mode is selected
and does not light when 10 Mb/s mode is
selected (DE500 10/100 models).
Activity status Amber This LED lights in 10 and 100 Mb/s modes
when there is transmit or receive network
activity.
Link status Green This LED lights in 10 and 100 Mb/s modes to
indicate a good network connection; it does not
light when the link is in a failed state.
Interrupt Request (IRQ) Lines
The IRQ lines can be set to any valid IRQ.
