6.1.3.2 Components of the scanner
CAUTION
Risk of cross-contamination
The scanner must not be used inside the patient's mouth without a
window sleeve/disposable sleeve/autoclavable sleeve. Without the
window sleeve/disposable sleeve/autoclavable sleeve, the scanner
cannot be disinfected or sterilized and cross-contamination may
occur.
➢ Always put on the window sleeve, disposable sleeve or
autoclavable sleeve with disposable windows.
CAUTION
Risk of injury
The window of the window sleeve is made of glass and is fragile.
➢ Use the sleeve with care so that the glass does not crack.
➢ If the glass has been cracked, the sleeve must no longer be used
on patients.
