12.1 Messages on Current Operating Status
The following message categories are defi ned for displaying the
operating status of the solar power inverter:
Message Category
Description
Message Classes
Grid Feed-In
Limited operation
Non-critical factors that can affect the produc-
tion results but which are not failures (e.g.,
self-test).
–
Various
External event
External events occur outside the solar power
inverter and affect its operating behavior.
Warning
Yes
Failure
No
●
Insulation and grounding
failure
There is one or more problems with the insu-
lation or grounding.
Insulation and grounding problems are con-
sidered external events. However, these mes-
sages are only displayed when insulation and
grounding monitoring is active (see Chapter
“10.13 Insulation and grounding monitoring”,
p. 63
).
Warning
Yes
Failure
No
Internal event
Internal events are problems within the solar
power inverter.
Warning
Yes
Failure
No
Change events
Certain parameters can be changed manu-
ally in the display or externally via the service
software. All parameter changes are logged
and can be read later-
The confi gurations made determine whether
or not a change event affects the production
result.
–
Yes
However, it is possible that a
change event prevents the solar
power inverter from feeding into
the grid.
Table 12.1:
Message categories on operating status
The current operating status is indicated by the LEDs and text mes-
sages on the display in the
411 Current Overview
menu.
When a new event occurs, this is indicated automatically by the
LEDs.
To read a text message for the event, switch to the menu
411 Cur-
rent Overview
.
A brief description of the event is then shown on the fourth display
line.

411 Current overview
The software of the solar power inverter determines whether a
warning is given or a failure occurs.
For problems with the insulation or grounding, you can use the
230
Grounding
menu to defi ne whether a warning is given or a failure
is triggered (see Chapter
“10.13 Insulation and grounding monitor-
ing”, p. 63
).
