Removing the System Board

1.

Follow the procedures in

Before Working Inside Your Computer

.

2.

Remove the:
a) cover
b) memory
c) expansion card(s)
d) heatsink assembly
e) processor

3.

Disconnect all the cables connected to the system board.

4.

Perform the following steps as shown in the illustration:
a) Disconnect the 8–pin power cable.
b) Press the 4–pin power cable [1].
c) Disconnect the 4-pin power cables from the system board [2].

5.

Remove the screws that secure the system board to the computer.
