About this task

The following image indicates the location of the right fan and provides a visual representation of the installation procedure. The
orientation is based on the position of the fan when you are working on your computer.

Steps

1. Peel the tapes that secures the wireless-card cable to the system board.
2. Note the routing of the wireless-card cable and remove the wireless-card cable from the right fan.
3. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
4. Remove the two (M2x6) screws that secure the right fan to the system board.
5. Lift the right fan off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
