About this task

The following image indicates the location of the front-facing camera and provides a visual representation of the removal
procedure.

Steps

1. Disconnect the camera cable from connector on the camera module.
2. Peel back the foil tape that secures the camera module.
3. Use a plastic scribe to carefully pry up the camera from the bottom side, starting from the locations marked by the arrows.
4. Lift and remove the camera module from the display assembly.

Installing the front-facing camera

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation procedure.
