5. Final commissioning actions
5.1 Update the documentation
5.1.1 Backing up the controller information
Save a backup of the controller information.
The backup is useful to:
• Reuse the same information for a similar system.
• Restore the controller settings, for example, if someone changes these to incorrect values.
• Replace a controller.
You can also print a copy of the settings for a controller, and store it in a safe place.
Back up part or all of the controller settings
To back up controller information:
1. Using PICUS, make sure that you are connected and logged on to the controller that you want (see the
Connect
page).
2. Go to
Tools > Backups
and select all the boxes.
3. Select a backup folder location.
4. Select
Backup
at the bottom of the page.
The controller information is now backed up in the folder location you have chosen.
To restore information to a controller, repeat steps 1 and 2 above, then select the
Restore
section. Locate the previous
backup folder and select
Restore
.
Print controller information
To print the controller information, for each controller:
1. Using PICUS, make sure that you are connected and logged on to the controller that you want (see the
Connect
page).
2. Go to
Tools > Report
and select all the boxes. Select
in the right menu.
See the
PICUS manual
for more information.
5.1.2 Finalising the operator's manual
Ensure that the operator's manual is updated for the system's configuration, the switchboard design, each controller's
hardware configuration and parameters, and the system-specific CustomLogic. Make sure that the operator's manual is
accessible, and that a copy of the updated operator's manual is stored in a safe place.
