4.3.5 Lockout relay (ANSI 86)
DANGER!
You MUST complete all the previous commissioning steps.
Test the lockout relay (that is, the
Any latched alarm
function).
Configure a digital output with the function
Alarm > Any latched alarm
. For the test, connect the digital output to a light. The
light should be lit whenever there are latched alarms.

AC configuration and nominal settings

sequence.
4.3.6 Blackout close
DANGER!
You MUST complete all the previous commissioning steps.
DANGER!
Ensure that the blackout close parameters match the controller application. For example, you must not be
able to close the breaker between a live busbar and a non-running genset.
Test the blackout close function. If the blackout conditions are met for the
Blackout close
parameter, then activating the
Activate breaker close
digital input should close the breaker immediately.
See
Controller
,
Blackout close
in the
Designer's handbook
for information about conditions, restrictions,
parameters and the blackout close sequence.
4.4 Customised functions and sequences
4.4.1 Testing CustomLogic
CustomLogic performs PLC-type operations, to supplement the pre-programmed controller functions and sequences.
CustomLogic is optional.
Customised functions and sequences might have been created using CustomLogic during the design phase.
You can also create CustomLogic functions and sequences during commissioning. For example, you can use CustomLogic
to activate one of the controller's relay outputs when certain conditions are met.
The testing of CustomLogic depends on the specific functions and/or sequences created by the customer. DEIF cannot
therefore give any specific guidelines on testing the controller's CustomLogic.
See
CustomLogic
in the
Designer's handbook
and in the
PICUS manual
for more information.
