Main Menu

IP Address

The numbers here represent the Internal IP address of your DVR. If your DVR 

is not properly connected to the router, the IP address will appear as 0.0.0.0 

or 192.168.1.100.

Acquiring an IP Address:

1.  Make sure the DVR’s IP mode is set to DHCP. 

2.  Click APPLY at the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

3.  Right click anywhere on the screen until you exit the menu completely.

4.  Unplug the power cable from the DVR.

5.  Connect the included network cable from the back of the DVR to  

 

your router. 

6.  Plug the power cable back into the DVR.

7.  Go to the MAIN MENU and enter the NETWORK tab to verify that the IP 

Address is displayed on the NETWORK tab.

If your IP address changes frequently, changing your network type to STATIC may help to prevent it from changing.

Setting the IP address to STATIC:

1.  Write down your current IP address, found on the NETWORK tab in the 

IP ADDRESS field.  

2.  Select the TYPE drop down list and choose STATIC.

3.  Left click in the IP ADDRESS field, the keyboard will open.

4.  Enter your IP address from step 1 then click the ENTER key 

.

5.  Click APPLY at the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

6.  Right click anywhere on the screen until you exit the menu completely.

7.  Unplug the power cable from the DVR for a few seconds.

8.  Plug the power cable back into the DVR.

9.  Go to the MAIN MENU and enter the NETWORK tab to verify that your 

changes are saved.

Gateway

This is the IP address of your router. If the box is populated with numbers other than all zeros, this confirms that you 

are successfully connected to your router.

STATIC

Note:   Please ensure you write down the Client/HTTP/Mobile ports, IP Address and Gateway numbers (as 

they appear in the NETWORK tab). This information is required to set up Port Forwarding, which allows you to 

remotely view the DVR outside of the current network.
