Fiber Support Arm

The fiber support arm is intended to support the beam delivery system so that the conduit
is kept clear of the operation area, as well as providing support for the conduit while in
use. It is recommended to use the handpiece while the fiber conduit is attached to the
fiber support arm. The arm is capable of swinging to a convenient location, or locking in
place by tightening the fiber support clamp on the rear of the machine (see “Fiber
Support Arm and Fiber Attachment” section of Chapter 4 for more details). By keeping
the handpiece attached to the arm, it will also prevent accidental dropping of the hand
piece.
