Install

printer

LAN
connection.

.
Installing the Network Printer Driver
Make
sure
that
network
values
are
set
as
described
in
“Setting
the
Unit
Number,
Printer
Name,
and
Connection”
on
page 59
.
Begin
with
the
printer
powered
off
and
supplies
installed.
1.
Power
on
the
PC
and
log
on
to
Windows
as
a
user
with
administrator
permissions.
2.
Insert
the
Installation
CD
for
the
printer
in
the
PC
drive.
3.
If
an
AutoPlay
dialog
box
displays,
clicck
Run
autorun.exe
to
continue
installation.
4.
When
the
opening
window
is
displayed,
click
Install
the
Printer
.
5.
On
the
next
dialog
box
click
Install
the
Driver
.
6.
For
Windows
Vista,
click
Allow
on
the
Security
dialog
box.
Then,
click
Continue
on
the
User
Account
Control
dialog.
