Set
the
IPSec
Type
to
Printer
Certificate
.
c.
Click
Details
.
The
IPSec
setting
dialog
box
opens.
d.
Select
the
Download
Type
from
the
list.

Click
Select
.
The
Select
Certificate
Download
File
dialog
box
opens.
f.
Browse
to
the
location
of
the
printer
certificate
or
CA
certificate.
g.
Select
the
file
and
then
click
Write
.
The
Status
Monitor
sends
the
file
to
the
printer.
h.
Repeat
step c
through
step g
for
the
second
file
(printer
certificate
or
CA
certificate,
whichever
was
not
downloaded
in
step f
)
to
download.
8.
Remove
the
USB
cable
connecting
the
printer
and
PC.
9.
Install
the
printer
using
a
LAN
connection.

IP Security Using a Preshared Key
To
use
IPSec
security
with
a
preshared
key,
create
a
key
file
and
then
define
it
to
the
PC.
Tips
for
Success
Each
PC
that
uses
the
printer
must
use
the
shared
key
to
use
the
printer
after
IPSec
security
has
been
set
up.
The
IPSec
Mode
and
IPSec
Type
values
on
the
printer
LCD
panel
are
read
‐
only
settings.
