MCT-10 Setup Software Tutorial
Danfoss MCT-10 Software is a free download and can be found at
DanfossDrives.com under the “Software Downloads” link on the left hand side of the
page. A license key for a more advanced version can be purchased, however it is rarely
necessary. When you begin the installation on your PC, you will be prompted to enter a
CD Key & License Key
. The CD key is
12314600.
If you click the box found in the
bottom left that says “Install Limited Version with Basic Functionality” no license key is
required.
MCT-10 makes complex programming schemes much simpler for the user. A
USB cable can be connected to the drive and parameter settings changed via MCT-10
will be written to the drive on the fly. Alternatively, a “project” can be created within the
software where the user can edit the parameter settings without being connected to the
drive. A USB cable can later be connected to the drive and the program can be
downloaded. Existing VFD programming can also be uploaded and saved as projects
within MCT-10. In addition, the software contains wizards to help create “Smart Logic”
programs, set up cascade systems and time based actions.

Fill out the remaining fields for the project drive that match those of the
actual drive that will later be connected to (Series, Power Size,
Configurable Options, Software Version, and Voltage)
leave field-bus set
to USB because this is how you will connect to the actual drive
