7 Troubleshooting

replace, if required
Dial on flow divider has com-
pletely been turned to the
right.
Turn dial on flow divider com-
pletely to the left.
Machine forms unevenly/coni-
cally Bearing plates worn Check bearing plates for wear
and replace if necessary
Base dies damaged Check base dies for damage
and replace if necessary
Crimping dies damaged
Check crimping dies for da-
mage and replace if necessary
Crimping area is not centred Preferably form the work piece
in the centre of the crimping
die length
Crimping dimension not achie-
ved Bearing plates worn Check bearing plates for wear
and replace if necessary
Oil pressure too low Check oil pressure at the MP
measuring point, pump or pipe
may be leaking or defective,
repair or replace
Incorrect crimping dies used Check crimping die diameter
and crimping die section and
replace, if required (for crimp-
ing die section, please refer to
“Technical data” in Section 3)
