5.2.5 Initial configuration of network port

Ethernet port ‘LAN 1’ is used for connecting the cluster together, while Ethernet port ‘LAN2’ is for
general purpose. It is possible to use the external port ‘LAN2’ for the following features:

1.

Receiving data (typical NMEA strings) via TCP/IP

2.

Transmitting images to a VDR via IEC61162-450

3.

Synchronizing charts from a NavBox

Leave the port disabled unless you are planning to use any of the above features.
