5.3.3.1  Delay Compensation Setup - Manual  

 

31. On a GUI main Operation screen select particular DRU. The DRU Status section of the screen becomes 

active. See Figure 5-9 for details.  

32. Click on “Update from Device” button to get the latest DRU status.  

33. Read and note “Optical Delay” value. 

34. Repeat steps 20 to 22 for all DRUs that are connected to the DAU. Determine and remember the 

maximum optical delay value that is read. 

35. On a GUI main Operation screen select first DRU on the list.  

36. Click on “Update from Device” button to get the latest DRU status.  

37. Calculate Delay compensation value by subtracting maximum optical delay value from the delay value for 

that DRU. 

38. Set “Delay Compensation” to calculated value. Click on “Set Parameter(s)” button to implement the 

change. 

39. Repeat steps 24 to 27 for all other DRUs that are connected to the DAU.
