4.3.1.2 DRU Mounting In the Pole
Installation steps for DRU mounting inside the pole are as follows:
1. Position support bracket (a) on the mounting surface inside the pole and use pencil to mark the
location of the four mounting holes (e); or use the provided mounting template to do so.
2. Use the portable drill and 3/16” (4.7 mm) bit to drill through holes at the locations marked in Step
1.
3. Line-up the support bracket’s (a) mounting holes with the holes on pole, and secure the bracket
using four round head machine screws, lock washers and hex nuts (f).
4. Position the unit so the openings located on the unit back panel, are aligned with four hooks on
the supporting bracket (a). Insert and hang the unit.
5. Secure the unit using two lock washers and screws (d) that are provided.
Figure 4-3 provides exploded view and fully mounted view of the DRU inside the pole.
